Christopher Willmott is a creative visual artist based in the coastal town of Waikouaiti, New Zealand. His work explores balance, structure, and texture through a contemporary abstract lens.

Working independently from his home studio, Christopher creates distinctive compositions using bold shapes, tactile surfaces, and a considered use of colour.

Discouraged from continuing with art during his time at art school due to his colour blindness, he spent many years self-employed before returning to his creative roots. He is now fully focused on his art and creates on his own terms, quietly and thoughtfully, with a commitment to daring to be different.

Christopher aims to be innovative in his approach and is passionate about bringing new ideas into the art world. He enjoys pushing boundaries, exploring styles and techniques that are refreshingly different and unique.
